From Makemo we have to get back to Tahiti and fulfill our agreement with the Lady K about going together to Tonga.

Wind, sea, sun, lagoon, coral, fishes, cocotrees. This is all about Makemo. One thousand people are living on the 70 x 1 kms long atoll, the whole part of the population stay in the village by the eastern pass.

This is the perfect spot for playing Robinson’s life. We have a machete, a spear gun and a basic fishing gear completing our standard equipment for camping. We are set for the atoll’s lifestyle.

2^nd July, this is 1:30pm, we leave marina Taina on board of the 24m, luxurious superyacht Lady K, heading to Makemo, Tuamotu.

Watching organization is set up by Ayla: 4 hours each, on a 2-personn team. I am 2 hours with Ayla and 2 hours with Toby. Nadège is 2 hours with Toby, 2 hours with Ayla. Just time to sleep a little and we go back on deck.

36 hours to cross the 300 miles between Tahiti and the paradise… oups, Fakarava. Good wind, 20 knots, backward, easy ride then for us.

Anxiety of the captain becomes harsh and we, crew, feel quite bad in this context. I am really wishing to find another boat in Tahiti to leave Tago Mago as soon as possible, I can’t bear it anymore! Read more »
