Medellin
Going up and down and again and again and I get to Medellin.
Sam is there, completely sick! White, absolutely no energy, I bring him back to my Couchsurfing’s host Ana. She will take care of him as if he was her brother.
Couchsurfing is such a good invention!

New Years Eve at Ansermanuevo
2010 is coming.
To say farewell at 2009, I make my mind up to climb a mountain the 31th. December, camp up there, and fly down in the morning. Ansermanuevo is a good place for it, as there is a paragliding take off there.

Flying Cali
At Cali, we stay in the “casa de ciclistas” of Hernan Miller, a guy also happy to help bike travelers as Lucho in Trujillo.
We get to know Wisely, local paragliding pilot, a tall black girl full of energy and resources.

Esteban
Esteban is a paragliding pilot from Bogota.
When he saw my website on the Ozone teamblog a year ago, first thing he did was to invite me in his family home to fly and discover the country. I could not believe it, that was just so kind of him!

Ibarra crazy flight
Reaching Ibarra, I group all my strength to go up the hill to fly in the morning. Ibarra is THE paragliding spot in Ecuador to fly acrobatic or simple normal flying.

Wild flight
On the coastal road, we stop for the bivouac. A nice ridge runs for a few kilometres, 50 meters height at it most.
Nice breeze, no one around except a small fisherman house. The man offers us to bring us back lobsters for breakfast. We are welcome to stay.

Flights over Lima
The Peruvian coast is quite a boring landscape and I don’t like it.
It is desert, extremely arid, but also with a continuous fog obstructing the view which I usually enjoy in the deserts.

Speed flying on Cerro Blanco
The highest sand dune in the world is right in front of us, overlooking Nazca.
El Cerro Blanco is up to 2200m of heights, 1500m of pure sand slope, a dream of a playground.

Copachica – Entering Peru
We leave Copacabana, my friend Armand, and Bolivia, and enter Peru.
People warned us about how Peruvian local people are spoiled by the tourist industry. So much of a wrong thing: People are just so smiley, happy and helpful!

Isla del Sol
Well alright, Isla del Sol is THE touristic spot for whoever comes to Bolivia and Titicaca. But let’s admit it, this is really worth it.
